Elect Exiles Scattered Abroad, Rejoice - Part 2

April 26, 2020 Speaker: Sam Ellyson Series: 1 Peter

Topic: COVID-19 Sermons Passage: 1 Peter 1:1–12

Here are some songs that might accompany the message this morning:
For this Sunday, consider reading Jeremiah 31:31-34 as you begin your time of worship at home. In this passage, Jeremiah prophesies of the new covenant that would be (and now has been) inaugurated in Christ. These new covenant promises are wonderful reminders of what God has provided us in Christ, and why he is so worthy of our praise. Although we are not meeting together this morning, let us not grow weary or despair. Rather, let the “Amen” sound from his people again. We will gladly adore him forever!
Those who trust in Jesus Christ are those of whom God has said, “For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more” (Jer. 31:34b, ESV).
If you have children, I’d encourage you to check-out Adventures with Ranger Joe - a video lesson produced by Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. After our time of singing, prayer, and watching the video together on Sunday mornings, we end with watching Adventures with Ranger Joe. The kids love it. They do a great job (considering the limitations of the current crisis). Even John MacArthur made an appearance last week. Check it out!
